It belongs to the Neapolitan school of painting, the one which, starting from the 1700s, spread Neapolitan painting all over the world. Vincenzo Laricchia was one of the greatest contemporary painters in the world of Neapolitan culture. He was called the painter of the sea and his works immersed in the tradition of the masters of the eighteenth century were so appreciated that they caused a clamor of art students eager to learn his secrets.
“Country lane”. Oil on canvas, made in the late 1980s, depicts a road in a countryside area, where there are houses, but above all there is the clear and dominant sign of green plants and nature. Excellent condition.
