In the fifties, public awards and recognitions confirmed his fame already established in the previous decade: he received the “Vie Nuove Prize” for painting, held a solo show in Paris, at the Galerie Rive Gauche, presented by Guido Piovene, where he exhibited, as well as to the paintings, ten drawings for Franz Kafka’s The Metamorphosis.
Franco Gentilini has, throughout his life, a feverish production that allows him to have paintings available to participate in numerous exhibitions, at the Rome Quadriennale, the Venice Biennale, San Francisco and compete for the Carnegie Prize in Pittsburg for various editions. .
